Context
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown takes players to Hong Kong, a modern city and symbol of luxury, where elite sports cars compete in intense races. At the heart of the game lies a clear duality between Streets and Sharps, opposing bold and daring drivers to elegant and refined competitors, with prestige, reputation, and victory at stake.
For the game’s release, the challenge was to translate this universe of high-end automotive culture and competition into a striking key visual.
Concept
We crafted the key art around the contrast between luxury cars and rivalry.
The visual showcases iconic sports cars set against the city of Hong Kong, expressing both the prestige of the Solar Crown and the player’s choice between Streets and Sharps. This duality drives the composition, balancing raw intensity with refined elegance to reflect the core DNA of the game.
Scope
Key art conception and visual development, declined across multiple versions including Generic, Silver Streets, Silver Sharps, and Gold, as well as artistic direction and team coordination across concept art, 3D, photography, and matte painting.
